Why We Ride: That's Amore has been walking for Alzheimer’s research since Bob Vanderley (dad) passed away in 2015. That's nine years of raising money and awareness. In 2023, That's Amore started their first Ride to End ALZ in DC for 25 miles.  This year the team will be joined by Nikki Foster, Ingrid and Charlie Cathell and we will Ride for 10 miles to raise money and our team will never stop. We will continue to Walk and Ride in memory of Bob, Victor, and now Sherry Burnsworth and Milly Sturmer.  These beautiful women passed away in 2023 from the disease.

Alzheimer's disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million are acting as their caregivers. 

We are going the distance for all those affected while raising funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. 

Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. But together, we can help change that. 100 percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward the Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
