ALZ for 1 & 1 for ALZ was created by Team Captain Mike Allen to bring together people who want to help fight for the treatment and cure for all forms of Dementia.  We fundraise money that 100% goes to research, and then we ride our bikes through the beautiful hill country between Wimberly and Dripping Springs Texas.

Mike found the Ride to End ALZ 4 years ago in the first year of this ride.  After two years and each ride raising over $500K toward ALZ research, he decided to form his own team to help the organization push for our goal of raising over $1M toward research each year.

In 2023, the first year of this team, we had 15 riders sign up and we raised $15K toward research ..... and this year we hope to recruit 30 riders and raise $30K.  Please consider joining ALZ for 1 & 1 for ALZ, and help us fight for the many friends and family that are battling this disease, for those that have lost their battle, and those of us that will one day have to start the fight!

Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million are acting as their caregivers. 

We are going the distance for all those affected while raising funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. 

Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. But together, we can help change that. 100 percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward the Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
