My mother in-law: my sweet mother in-law is the greatest. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a couple of years ago. We have been watching this slow death rapidly ravage her mind and body. This photo is from our last visit in March. When I gave her a hug, I felt that it will be the last physical hug I give her on this earth (we live too far away to hug often). This is why I’ve chosen this fund raising cause.
Why I Ride: I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
