Why I Ride: In 2016, we lost my father to complications associated with Alzheimer's. Though it was hard for us as a family, I can only imagine how frightening, confusing and lonely it must have been for him to see the world around him change and drift away day by day. If there's anything I, we, can do to help mitigate future suffering of both those experiencing, and in proximity of, Alzheimer's Disease, it won't be wasted.
My mother has participated in this fundraiser for many years. I am inspired by her continued dedication to help push the research, treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's Disease. This year, I am joining the gang. Though I'll be riding virtually, I hope that someday we will ride it all together.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. I know not everyone can afford to donate so even a share means the world. Thank you.
Cheer Me On!
