Why I Ride: I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care.
As i shared last year, my sister, Kathy's life was shortened and her vitality has taken from her by Lewy bodies Dementia. I am encouraged that The Alzheimer's Association research and outreach includes other types of Dementia including Lewy bodies.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to develop methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
This year I've added a Rotary team for all my fellow Rotarians to join together as one team to support Rotary International's causes of Fighting Disease including Alzheimer.
Thanks in advance for your support and donation. If interested in joining the Rotary team and have questions, let me know
