Why I Ride: My Grandfather Ken, passed away from this disease in 2022, after a 10 year battle. In addition my Grandmother Joan, cared for him at home for those 10 years. This summer Grandma and Grandpa would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary had this disease not taken him.
My Uncle Al is currently battling this terrible disease. One year we were catching fish at Lake of the Woods on an annual trip with my Dad and his brothers. The next year, Al didn't know what fishing was.
We will honor all this fall with a bike ride with all proceeds funding research so that no person or family will have to suffer from this disease in the future.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
