Why I Ride: Iola Cates.
My mother-in-law was one of the millions of people who struggled with this disease for a long time. She passed away in 2013, but we fondly remember her incredibly positive attitude and generosity toward everyone lucky enough to meet her... she may have invented the concept of "good vibes only"!
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
Team Iola will not break any speed records, but we will ride with family and friends in her memory (and her stellar caregiver/average golfer husband Chuck). We hope that we help preserve the memories of a generation of future Iolas.
Cheers!
Cheer Me On!
