Why I Ride:
I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one d no ay fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer's Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's disease. With each mile of the 65
This is why I ride for this cause: My Dad David, who is my personal superhero.
Dad grew up as an Indiana farmboky from humble beginnings. Dad had a military career, serving in Viet Nam the year after I was born. He was an Eagle Scout. My Dad is the smartest man I've ever known, graduating from Purdue University's School of Engineering. I inherited my love of science and research directly from him.
Alzheimer's disease has robbed him of many of these incredible achievements, and it consumes my mother, his caretaker in Arizona, my brother in San Diego, and me in Virginia every single day. Superheroes don't deserve this disease.
Cheer Me On!
