Why I Ride: This ride holds a special place in my heart, especially this year. On March 6th, 2024, the Summerhill family lost Ed to Alzheimer's. Watching Daniel, Hannah, and Fran act as caretakers over the past three years has been both inspirational and heartbreaking—they all selflessly stepped up to help Ed in his fight against this awful disease. This year, my ride is not only a tribute to Ed's memory but also a gesture of support for the entire family. By participating, I’m pitching in and asking others to help fund the essential research needed to find a cure for Alzheimer’s. Together, we can work towards a future where no family has to endure the anguish of watching a loved one suffer from this devastating disease.
About the Ride: I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
