For a few painful and difficult years, I helped care for someone with Alzheimer's. This disease is scary and unrelenting, and it is projected that Alzheimer's will double by 2060, affecting 14 million Americans. My life will truly never be the same after losing my Dad to this disease on March 6, 2024, and I have never known a pain like this before. I'm riding in honor of my Dad, and I hope to, one day, save somebody else from having to say this goodbye.
Currently, there are more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and over 11 million family members and friends who provide them care. This year, my teammates and I are riding in the hopes that one day, we will see the first survivor of Alzheimer's.
I’m grateful to play a small role in supporting this amazing cause, and if you feel inclined to donate to my fundraising efforts, know that every dollar goes directly to the Alzheimer’s Association, which gets us a little closer to a cure. Whether you’re able to donate or not, thank you for cheering me on and for providing support to me, my brother, and my Mom as we navigate living in a world without my Dad.
Cheer Me On!
