Why I Ride: I'm participating in the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one-day fundraising event on June 9th, where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
Tragically, Ed lost his 4-year fight with Alzheimer's on March 6th. I did what I could to ease his frustrations as he slowly declined and finally succumbed to the ravages of Alzheimer's Disease. Despite our ups and downs, he and I shared 50 years of love and friendship, and we are all grateful that we could be by his side when he passed away on March 6th. My goal is to ride 75 miles in Ed's memory and for the 6 million+ Americans living with this insidious disease, along with the 11+ million family members and friends who provide them with care.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars, which is why I am asking for your support to help me raise funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Every dollar I raise goes directly toward that research. Thank you!
Cheer Me On!
