As part of team Eagle Wings, I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by my grandmother and father-in-law, who both battled dementia for several years before going home to heaven. My heart goes out to our many friends whose families are touched by this awful disease. I am riding to acknowledge their heroic struggle and remember my grandmother’s, and I am honored to help in this small way.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars — which is why I am asking for your support. Our team, Eagle Wings, is participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for your prayers and for cheering me on!
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
