Here we go! Third time riding to End ALZ! First we did 70 miles in DC/Virginia... then we took on the three day, 255 mile ride across SC... and now we are going to ride 100 miles through the hill country of Texas! Help us make our goal of raising $5000 and working towards finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease!
Our team - Papa's Purple People Eaters - rides in memory of my grandfather Larry Conway. He fought a long hard battle with ALZ, and we lost him too early in life. We also ride in honor of his wife, Joyce, and all the other caregivers who have the toughest job of watching the disease take shape and experiencing all the negativity that comes with it. We hope our contributions can make a difference for victims and their families!
Why I Ride: I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer's. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research - only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer's Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
