As you know, my dad passed away last year and it was understandably filled with grief. The 2023 ride was emotional for all of us - a lot of sadness mix with bits of laughter. Now, it’s time change the focus of the memories of my dad from sadness to ones of joy.
However, this doesn’t change my passion or sense of urgency for raising funds to find a cure for this horrible disease.
This will by my 4th year doing the ride, and the team is as strong as ever with Denise, my brothers Mark and Dave, cousin Ben, and friends Chad and Alisa all riding and helping raise money to find find a cure.
Along with volunteering on the committee to promote the ride, this is the only thing I know how to do to help. I still believe my small contribution can make a difference so that my wife and I, our children, grand child, and extended families will never have to go through this tragic experience again.
I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease. With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
