Why I ride...
-I ride for my Mom!!! The original Steel Magnolia - she has had Alz for over 16 years. Our whole family has been touched by how Alz has impacted her. We love her and are lucky to be a part of her life.
-I ride for my clients: Because of the experiences with my family - I started Next Steps Senior Placement. I provided a free service to families to help them find appropriate housing during an overwhelming time.
-I ride for my tribe: I started The Aging Parent Tribe Facebook Group - it is an amazing community for family caregivers. Love connecting and encouraging other caregiver.
Details:
I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer's. I'm inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research - only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support.
I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer's Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's. Thanks for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
