Why I Ride: Why I Ride:
I ride for my mother and grandmother. My mother was the caregiver in our home for my grandmother, her mother-in-law, who was never even very nice to her! My mother's selfless service in caring for my grandmother was an example to my siblings and I of caring for others. She was the most caring and giving person I ever knew.
I ride for my own fear of it being hereditary to myself, my children, or my siblings and their children.
I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer's. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research -- only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support.
I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer's Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's disease.
Feel free to share the link to my page or QR code with friends and family who would like help too.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's. Thank you for cheering me on!
