Why I Ride: I am riding to honor the memory of my Father, Robert S. Allgaier who passed away over seven years ago. He was a fine man who inspired many to be kind and do things for others who were less fortunate that we were.
In the 2023 ride, I raised over $14,000, and Team Bucknell (which I captained) raised $37,585! We are striving to increase the members of our team and raise more than last year.
I am determined to ride over a metric century (100 kilometers/62 miles) for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
