Hello my family & friends,
Why I Ride: My friends and family know that I've been walking for Alzheimer's awareness for the past nine years. Last year was the first year that I rode in the Ride to End ALZ in D.C. to increase awareness to my community. I am determined to go the distance to find a cure, the disease has become more and more personal, since I lost my dad in 2015, I lost my uncle in 2020, and my sister-in-law passed away at the age of 65 in 2023.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I riding 10 miles in the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event this year. Every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease. Alongside me this Spring, daughter, Nikki, sister, Ingrid, and her husband Charlie.
With each mile our team rides, we are raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. I have increased my goal to $1,000 and our team goal is $2,500 and I know we can obtain it and maybe even exceed it.
Thank you for prayers and cheering me on as I ride because others can't.
God Bless
Brigitte
