Why I Ride: I ride for all of those living with, caring for, and lost to this devastating disease. We lost Brandon's grandpa, Ken Wacker, in September 2022. His grandma Joan lovingly and courageously cared for Ken until the very end. Brandon's godfather and Uncle Al is living with this terrible disease. I've seen first hand how much this disease impacts so many and I ride in hopes of a better future for everyone impacted in any way by Alzheimer's.
I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer's. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research - only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZĀ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer's Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
