Why I Ride: My dad died on February 17th, 2024, after a long and rough experience with Alzheimer's. As a physician and someone who'd lost his own mother to this terrible disease, he volunteered for studies and projects to help advance ALZ research. He also bravely allowed his story to be shared on WCCO -tv so that more people could understand the impact of the disease on individuals and their families and caregivers.
Through our experience loving and caring for my dad, I have a profound awareness of the hurt, anguish and grief this long goodbye can cause. I have admiration for all the caregivers out there and love for all who are navigating this difficult journey. I am not a cyclist by any stretch but look forward to riding with friends and family in honor of my dad "The Admiral," and thank our team's supporters in advance for their generosity!
Cheer Me On!
