Why I Ride: I'm participating in the Ride to End ALZ and fundraising for Alzheimer's Disease research in honor and support of my father-in-law, William Schultz, and my mother-in-law, Danell, of Westmont, IL. I'm also riding for everyone who has been affected by Bill's illness including his friends, his extended family, and anyone else who has been fortunate enough to cross his path and enjoy his company over the years.
When I first met my wife, Suzanne, I wasn't for certain where her wit, sense of humor, and business acumen originated, but I definitely knew it was unique. After meeting her father and getting to know him better over the years, I started to understand where this inspiration originated and have since realized what a profound effect Bill has had and continues to have on her life. From his passion for entrepreneurship to his affinity of skiing and all things nautical, Suzanne has been watching her father and following in his footsteps her entire life. Theirs is a beautiful relationship filled with kindness and love and to watch this disease disintegrate such a strong bond is truly heartbreaking.
Imagine a world in which the pain of Alzheimer's Disease doesn't exist and the 6 million Americans currently diagnosed with ALZ and their families don't have to navigate the countless challenges associated with this disease. Please help me, Suzanne, and everyone else on this ride to raise as much money as we possibly can to fund the research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association to end this disease.
Thanks for your generosity!
