Why I Ride: I am determined to go the distance for Mom/ Grammy/Great Grammy who passed most recently on May 28, 2024 from Vascular Dementia. This disease took all her memories away from her. There are no medical interventions today. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. The stress and hardship they face is unsurmountable.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research - only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZĀ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event in Fort Collins, CO, that supports the Alzheimer's Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's. I appreciate your support in honor of my mom, all those who are suffering daily today, and those that have passed from the battle. Thank you for cheering my mom on!
Cheer Me On!
