I'm riding in the Ride to End ALZ on June 9th in memory of my dad who died on September 8, 202 from aspiration pneumonia as a result of having Alzheimer's. My dad was always a big supported of my bike rides, I never imagined I would ride for him one day. After my mom died, he was never the same. His goals, happiness and love for a good time seemed to disappear overnight. My dad's decline was swift, heartbreaking and unrelenting.
My dad wasn't alone in his battle, there are more than 6 million individuals with Alzheimer’s, and over 11 millions friends and family members caring for their loved ones with Alzheimer's disease. Advances are being made and thanks to fundraisers like these, you'll help. with a cure one day.
After witnessing the devastating and deadly effects of this disease on both my parents, I'm more motivated than ever to support current Alzheimer’s research efforts through Ride to End ALZ. One hundred percent of donations goes toward the supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and advance research towards the prevention and eventual cure for Alzheimer’s.
Cheer Me On!
