Why We Ride: Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million are acting as their caregivers. 

This is personal.  Our team name Papa's weasels is in memory of my dad who has affectionately called the grandkids weasels throughout their lives.  My dad is the 3rd known generation in my family with ALZ.  He had Lewy Body Dementia.  This is particularly horrible since it attacked his mind and his body.  I am riding with my family (some of whom have been on a bike since they were children) to raise funds for the necessary research to slow progression and eventually find a cure.  My hope is someone in my family tree or yours will be the first of many survivors of ALZ.  Thank you for your support!
