Why We Ride: My team and I are riding in support of my Mom who is currently living with ALZ and in remembrance of my Grandfather who passed with Lewy Body Dementia.  I am riding in support of all the families that have experienced the longest goodbye. My team is riding in support of my Dad.  He is my Mom's devoted caretaker.  He always says "Your Mother is my responsibility."  My Dad is an amazingly dedicated caretaker whom I am constantly in awe of.  My brother and sister and their families have dedicated themselves too to the support of my parents.  I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.  I am hopeful we can end this dreadful disease.  

Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million are acting as their caregivers. 

We are going the distance for all those affected while raising funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. 

Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. But together, we can help change that. 90 percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward the Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
