Why I Ride:
This June, I will be participating in the Ride to End ALZ 62 mile bike ride with family to raise money for Alzheimer’s and all other dementias.
We are riding in honor of my Papa, who is affected by Lewy Body Dementia. Our team is called Papa’s Weasels, as he always called his grandchildren his weasels.
Papa has always been my #1 supporter, someone who never missed a sports game or a celebration no matter how small. I could always count on him to be in the crowd at a gymnastics meet, at graduation yelling something funny and singing his own rendition of happy birthday to me every year over the phone (something all our family can attest to). He taught me how to drive and most importantly, how to eat an ice cream cone. Papa was always there to cheer me on through big and small milestones.
I am fundraising for all the Papas and loved ones who are affected by conditions like Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Any donation is greatly appreciated!!!
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
