Why I Ride: I am riding in support of my Mom who is currently living with ALZ and in remembrance of my Grandfather who passed with Lewy Body Dementia. I am riding in support of all the families that have experienced the longest goodbye. My team is riding in support of my Dad. He is my Mom's devoted caretaker. He always says "Your Mother is my responsibility." My Dad is an amazingly dedicated caretaker whom I am constantly in awe of. My brother and sister and their families have dedicated themselves too to the support of my parents. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. I am hopeful we can end this dreadful disease.
I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Thank you for your donations. I am grateful and appreciative.
Cheer Me On!
