Why I Ride:
My friend Brian Igoe (pictured here on the right with friend/fellow MacGregor rider Tim Adler and me) succumbed to this devastating disease recently after several years of heart wrenching decline. I joined Brian's family and friends just after the new year as they gathered for a celebration and remembrance of his life. The stories that were shared and the emotions that we felt reminded us of the joy Brian shared with everyone. The experience was for me also a reminder to do what I can to help so that others might be treated or cured from Alzheimers.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
