Why I Ride: I have several friends whose loved ones have been directly impacted by Alzheimer's or another form of dementia or memory loss disease. I am inspired by their strength—as well as the strength of the more than six million Americans living with Alzheimer's, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care.
I am also inspired by science. Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research—there is only a shortage of dollars. This is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
To help raise money for Alzheimer's research, on Saturday, June 1, I'll ride my bike for 30 miles around the communities where I grew up in the New Hampshire seacoast area. If you are interested in supporting me and supporting Alzheimer's research, please consider donating at least $30 today—one dollar for each mile that I'll ride. Of course, feel free to donate more, if you're in the mood to do so.
Thank you for your support!
