This July, I'll be participating in Ride to End ALZ South Carolina, a unique 255-mile, cross-state journey for cycling enthusiasts who are passionate about ending Alzheimer's disease. Our mission is to raise the funds needed for the research, care and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
In the late 1980's Ernest and Betty Barr moved to Greer SC and Ernest became the Senior Pastor of what is now Resurrection Church. I was around 12 years old at the time. My family and I quickly fell in love with the Barrs. Fast forward to 2005...Pastor Barr invited me to join him on staff at the same church. 18 months later I became the Senior Pastor and Pastor Barr and continued to serve on staff until 2019. Ernest and Betty have had a massive impact on many lives during their decades long ministry and they have both cheered me on and supported me in more ways than I can count.
Betty is now battling Alzheimer's. Thus, I am dedicating my ride to her and her husband who is faithfully caring for her.
Will you join me? Thank you for donating and cheering me on!
Cheer Me On!
