Friends and Family members,
This will be my 8th year participating in A Ride to Remember/Ride to End Alz. Cycling 255 miles in 3 days from Greenville to Charleston is hard work. Living with Alzheimer's does not compare to this challenge.
Thank you to everyone that has made a donation in the past. We are still cycling for that cure. Please consider a donation to Ride to End Alz South Carolina/Ride to Remember 2023
Why I ride....In 2012, my mom, Shirley Hodges, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. In 2017, my mother's sister, Jan Bond, was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My mom moved to Greenville, SC in 2013 and is presently living in a retirement facility. As her daughter, it can be challenging watching your mother decline and her memory fade. This year has been a hard one. Mom has become more forgetful of family members including my brother and me. God continues to give me patience in dealing with her memory loss and behavioral changes but at times my patience is thin. Mom, please forgive me.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
Cheer Me On!
