I am excited to participate in Ride to End ALZ 2023. This will be my seventh year participating. It is one of the most meaningful things I do. I have family members who have been affected by this dreadful disease. Also, I know of many people and families who have been affected by this disease as well
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Now is the time to come together to change the course of this disease!
This Ride is a 255 mile ride done over three days. We ride from Simpsonville, SC to Charleston, SC. Not only do we get a lot of exercise and see a lot of beautiful scenery, but we develop a strong sense of community among all of the riders. The support and encouragement given to one another is amazing. We ride as one team pulling for one another. Because of another commitment, I will be unable to do the ride in person. However, I will be doing it virtually. This means I will bike 255 miles in the month of July.
My goal is $10,000. Please support my efforts by making a donation. The overall goal is $1 million. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Cheer Me On!
