Why I Ride: This is the first time our family has had a real hands-on experience with Alzheimer's. My mother was diagnosed with two benign brain tumors that required radiation for treatment. During this time, she continued her responsibilities as a mother, a wife, and as a caretaker to her father, uncle, and aunt as they also became ill and eventually passed away.
While my mother's treatment was a success, the radiology treatment she once received in efforts to save her life, eventually began to take its toll on her memory and her daily living. My mother has done so much for me and my family, so now it is in great honor to ride for my mother and other families by getting involved to act against Alzheimer's disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
