Why I Ride: I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer's.
I Ride in memory of my mother-in-law Catherine who battled dementia until her passing in 2020. She was a strong woman who could always be found exercising her deep Catholic faith. Catherine was a committed church member, she regularly volunteered at the Corpus Christi Church food pantry and Regional Food Bank. She enjoyed sharing her love and caring for others. Her kind spirit and welcoming smile brought joy to those she encountered. Catherine's memories will always remain strong in our hearts. We ride to remember Catherine and raise awareness and money to combat Alzheimer's.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Please help us reach and exceed our goal for this year. Thank you for cheering me on.
