Why I Ride: I lost my grandmother, mother and mother-in-law to this horrible disease. It has taken a great toll on my family, especially my father who acted as care giver to my grandmother and mother. As my generation heads into retirement, the economic estimates of this disease are staggering, and already in the hundreds of billions. The only way to change the trajectory is through finding a cure.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only a shortage of funding for the research, which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating in the Ride to End ALZ, a fully supported, one-day fundraising event where EVERY dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
Please consider supporting the needed research by donating to my ride. Thank you.
