Why I Ride: I'm participating in the Alzheimer's Association Ride to End ALZ™, a fully supported, one-day cycling event to accelerate scientific progress in the fight against Alzheimer's, the nation's sixth-leading cause of death.
My grandma passed away from Alzheimer's disease and it made a big impact on me and am riding to fundraise for more research and hopefully prevent others from suffering similar fates. Working in the hospital, we definitely see plenty of patients that go through the deteroiration of their mental state and it would be great to figure out a way to prevent that for future patients. Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research — only dollars. But together, we can help change that.
Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
