George Shaker is fundraising for Alzheimer's Research

Why I Ride: 

Hey Everyone,

My name is George Shaker.  I am a recently retired 63 year old and am very excited about the Ride to End ALZ sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association.  

My particular story, briefly, is that a few family members and friends started noticing some subtle gaps in my memory/recall.  I therefore underwent a full neurological evaluation, including cognitive testing, imaging of the brain and a spinal tap.  All of this confirmed the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, though fortunately at an early stage.

I am  very excited to participate in this bike ride to raise funds, 90%  of which will go to scientific research about treatment and management of Alzheimer's.  

Anything you can do to participate/donate will be immensely valuable for millions of people. There is no amount too small.
