Why I Ride: I am riding in honor of all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by my heroic 94 year old mother living with Alzheimer's for the past 12 years and the heroic support that she receives from my 93 yr old father and the staff of care givers that give aid and comfort with love and diligence so she can live her remaining life with dignity. I am inspired by much of the same with other family members and that of friends whose loved ones have been affected. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Greatly appreciate your support and if so inspired, for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
