Our family is one of the more than 6.7 million American families impacted by Alzheimer's and dementia. My father, Stan Wessler, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's several years before his death. My father was a wonderful dad, grandfather and he was an accomplished physician who was a cardiologist - a leader in his field. We know that Alzheimer's is an equal opportunity disease and our family rides so that we can put an end to Alzheimer's.
Having successfully completed my second hip replacement last December, I am training and preparing for the June 3 Ride. With your support, I will get there.
We are at such a vital time in the history of Alzheimer's research. We have now entered the "Age of Treatment", with 2 FDA disease modifying approved drugs in the past two years and more on the horizon. We continue to advance scientific research while working to ensure broad access to approved treatments
We need to break the grip of Alzheimer's. Proceeds from the ride support the research program of the Alzheimer's Association, the largest private nonprofit funder of dementia research in the world.
Your support helps us to reclaim the future; that new generations will not know the ravages of Alzheimer's.
I so appreciate your generosity. Thank you!
Jim
