I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer's or other dementia!
On July 8, I'll be participating in Ride to End ALZ South Carolina. This will be a 252 mile bike ride from Greenville, SC to Charleston, SC over three days. Previously known as A Ride to Remember, this event raises funds for the research, care and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
I ride because I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. The disease is devastating to both those who are diagnosed and family members who care and support for them. I am riding to honor my mother who has been battling Alzheimers for 15 years and for future generations so they might experience a world without fear of this dreadful disease. Current research is promising and I want to help speed up scientific progress toward better treatments and prevention.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research — only dollars. That's why I am asking for your support.
By participating on the Ride to End ALZ South Carolina, I'm fueling support services and cutting-edge research to change the trajectory of Alzheimer's disease. Each dollar I raise helps advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's and provide help for those facing dementia today.
Thank you for donating and cheering me on!
