Once again, I am participating in A Ride To Remember to honor my husband Tom and the countless amount of people adversely affected by Alzheimer's. We need to find a cure and have a first survivor for this devastating disease. Tom fought hard to support and educate people about this disease and contributed to science to find a cure. By participating in A Ride to Remember, I, along with the other riders, are taking on the physical and mental challenges of cycling across South Carolina. Our challenge is small compared to the challenges those with Alzheimer's and their loved ones experience during the course of this illness.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Now is the time to come together to change the course of this disease!
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to provide care support for all affected and advance research toward better treatments, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s! Your support means the world to me on this memorable journey!
