Why I Ride: I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 5 million Americans living with this disease, and the 16 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by the research being conducted to mitigate this horrible disease.
Lori, our team leader, reached out to me about joining this ride, not knowing that my Mom had recently slipped into the throws of Alzheimer’s and its impact on our Mom and those caring for her. Lori’s Mom has also been battling this condition for years now, and I’m so glad that she reached out to me in supporting this effort.
I met Lori and her husband in the spring of 2009 on a mission trip with Habitat for Humanity in Honduras. God continues to use this relationship for His great plan.
Thank you so much for your consideration in sponsoring me for this event to further the research towards improved treatment for Alzheimer’s!.
Cheer Me On!
