Why I Ride:
I'm riding in honor of Kitty Froehlich. Kitty is the mom of Kris Albert, Laura Miller, and Chip Froehlich. Kitty's been living with Alzheimer's dementia since 2014. She is managing her disease with the help of her family, her dear friend Karen, and the caregivers at her personal care community.
Our ride will take place on Monday, August 22nd. Our team will be riding 42 miles round trip - from York city to the Maryland line by way of the Heritage Rail Trail. If you're a rider who wants to join the team we welcome you! (You can also ride a shorter distance if you'd like!)
If you're not a rider but you'd like to volunteer on the day of the ride, please contact Kris at email@example.com.
Stop back to our site soon to learn more about Kitty and her life lived well! We'll be sharing some stories here very soon!
I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
