Hello and I hope that you and your family are safe and well.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research- only dollars. By participating in the 2022 Ride to End ALZ, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
My 90-year-old mother-in-law, Ann, lost her long battle with ALZ this year on March 2, 2022. I am riding to celebrate Ann's life, her wonderful smile, and her caring nature. I am also riding to celebrate the lives of all the other people that are courageously battling ALZ. ALZ does not only affect those that have been diagnosed with ALZ, but it is also very difficult on caretakers (family, friends, and healthcare professionals).
And you can help me. These dollars are desperately needed- for the more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, their 16 million caregivers, and millions more who have lost a loved one to this disease.
I will be riding my road bike 62 miles on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from Hampton Beach, NH throughout southern NH along with my wife, Maureen, as part of the ALZ Team, which we have joined to raise these critically needed funds for all those that are battling ALZ or have succumbed to ALZ. If you would like me to ride with the name(s) of any family, friends, or loved ones that have been impacted by ALZ, I would be happy to do so. I will put their names on my jersey to inspire me and be the wind at my back to push me to complete my ride for this great cause.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and their groundbreaking momentum in the field of Alzheimer's research. 90% of the funds raised go toward the Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
Help me cycle towards a world with our first survivor and donate today! Thank you, and I hope you and yours stay healthy and safe! Best, Bill
