Coast to Coasters
Why We Ride:
Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and one of those is our mom.
We are going the distance for all those affected while raising funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
Susan, John, Christine, Peter and Mike have ridden together for causes in the past, which is how our team name, "Coast to Coasters", was born. This year our team consists of even more family members and friends who live on both coasts and in between. Given the current situation of Shelter in Place, the ride we planned to do in Fort Collins is now virtual. During the weekend of June 14-15, we will ride or run in our respective cities, indoors or outdoors, covering anywhere from 25 -100 miles.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. We want to help change that. 100 percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward the Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
Alzheimer’s touches all of us, and it will take all of us to end it. Please donate today, and if donations are not possible at this time, think of us in mid June. Your thoughts will power us forward!
