Why I Ride: I ride for my Mom, for her sisters Jean and Grace and my buddy Mike. All were taken from us by Alzheimer's/Dementia. I am committed to to go the distance for all those impacted by Alzheimer’s. Today, more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. These numbers will only grow. The toll this disease takes is horrific. I am inspired by the progress we are making, but will not stop until we have a cure. Anyone losing another parent, grandparent, sibling, friend is just NOT acceptable.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the August 29th Ride to End ALZ, a local event where 100% of every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on. #Ride2EndALZ
