Why I Ride: I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I ride for a world where future generations will not have to experience the devastation of the disease. I ride for the caregivers, like my mother, Jan Knapp, who sacrifice in order to care for the those suffering with the disease. I ride in memory of my father, John Knapp, whom I lost to Alzheimer’s. I ride for my Grandmother, Wilma Knapp and a cousin, Allegra McCurtain, both lost to the disease as well. And I ride for myself and for my sisters, with the hope of a cure before another family member becomes a victim of Alzheimer’s.
Progress and advances in research are happening. There is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. Will you join the fight and be part of a cure to End Alzheimer’s? Every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
Please support my efforts and cheer me on.
