Why I Ride: my grandfather "Poppa" along with family friends I know have been effected by Alzheimer's so its a personal cause for me. Our family used to raise funds annually growing up for the Alzheimer's Association as a means to bring about awareness and to providing funding for research to bring an end to ALZ.
This year I am determined to complete a 100 mile bike ride to help bring further awareness to ALZ and to again raise funds for the Alzheimers Association.
Currently there are more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
