Why I Ride: My family has been deeply impacted by Alzheimer's disease and dementia. I am a granddaughter who lost my grandma too soon and I am a daughter who will lose my dad too soon. We are a tiny fraction of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care.
I'm determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s because I am inspired by their strength. I am also inspired by science. I am also hopeful that Alzheimer’s research will give me and my family more time with my dad.
The Ride to End ALZ, is a one-day fundraising event and every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease. With each mile I ride, I'm raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for cheering me and my dad on!
