Why I Ride: I am participating in the Ride to End ALZ in Wimberley, TX on October 10, 2021 with my wife, Kelly. We are biking a 40 mile ride and have never participated in anything like this before. We are biking in honor of my father-in-law, Tom Klipfel, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2015. Tom passed away on July 25, 2021. I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where 100% of the funds raised go toward the Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you so much - every dollar matters.
